Temperature Controlled Concrete
BDR TempCrete
BDR TempCrete is an advanced concrete solution designed to maintain the temperature of concrete and structures within desirable limits during placement and early hydration. It minimizes adverse effects such as thermal cracking, premature drying, and early setting, which are commonly associated with high heat of hydration in mass concreting pours.
The mix incorporates thermally controlled materials, carefully selected and proportioned to reduce heat generation and ensure the lowest possible concrete temperature during placement, resulting in improved performance and long-term durability.
Special Feature
- Reduces core temperature and differential temperature in mass concrete pours
Applications
- Mass concreting works
- Raft foundations
- Shear walls and core walls
- Concrete with high cement content
- Columns with large cross-sections
Advantages
- Lower heat of hydration
- Minimizes thermal stress and cracking
- Improves durability of concrete structures
- Controls early setting and stiffening of concrete
Technical Properties
- Concrete Temperature While Placing: 20 – 28°C
- Strength Class: M20 to M100
- Workability: Available in slump and flow
- Segregation Resistance: High
Special Instructions
- Concrete should be used within the stipulated design period
